Regalos de un Palo y una Estrella / Gifts from a Stick and a Star

La fruta permanece en la mesa,
partida en trozos de igual manera
parece que a alguien espera
hasta que llega un palo de madera.

El palo no llega solo
trae consigo un astro hermoso
es una estrella de brillo asombroso
que se encontró en otoño.

The fruit remains on the table,
cut into equal pieces,
it seems to be waiting for someone
until a wooden stick arrives.

The stick doesn’t come alone,
it brings with it a beautiful celestial body,
it is a star of astonishing brilliance
that was found in the fall.

El palo en la fruta se trepa
y con más fuerza toma la estrella
cuando a lo más alto llega,
el palo la estrella contonea.

Y de aquel astro se desprenden
destellos de colores diferentes,
cubren la fruta totalmente
y tras un rato todo desaparece.

The stick climbs up the fruit
and grips the star even tighter,
when it reaches the very top,
the stick sways the star.

And from that star there burst forth
sparks of different colors,
covering the fruit completely,
and after a while, everything disappears.

Only the lonely plate remains,
without fruit, stick, or star,
but after a while,
an unexpected downpour falls.

The plate fills with water,
and then a fish arrives,
swimming and swimming in its new little pool,
it is the gift left by the stick with its star.

The way that the lonely plate ends up as a DIY aquarium is pure stop‑motion gold, and honestly it makes me wonder if the stick should’ve gotten a degree in interior design before hauling stars around. I love how the spark‑filled star spills all those neon colors onto the fruit, kinda like a rave in a kitchen—visual overload in the best way. As a fresh Hive explorer, that sudden rain‑down of a fish feels like the universe saying, “hey, let’s mess with our expectations.” It’s wild how a simple wooden stick can turn a fruit bowl into a surreal underwater lounge, and I’m half‑way convinced it’s a sneaky metaphor for my own spreadsheets exploding with color. 🙌✨
