y cuando estaba muy limpia,
salió del agua y se fue a vestir bonita.
Tras de ella también salió,
una gota de agua y al suelo se lanzó,
caminó por el piso con precaución
buscando un lugar mejor.
A cookie was in the bathtub,
washing away the dirt it had collected,

Encontró un libro interesante
y quiso leerlo sin afanes,
pero el agua la tinta esparce
y manchó las hojas por todas partes.
Cuando la galleta regresa al lugar,
encuentra el libro que dañado está,
se enfada y le dice a la gota que debe regresar

La gota de agua pide disculpas
no quiere vivir en una tina profunda,
la galleta sus ideas escucha
y la acerca a una alfombra absorbente y de suave textura.
La gota ahí se queda
y la galleta le trae literatura nueva,
la gota lee con emoción plena,
porque sobre la alfombra no mojará las páginas de la novela.
The drop of water apologizes,
it doesn't want to live in a deep tub,
the cookie listens to its ideas
