Les quiero presentar a mi abuela,
una mujer de inmensa nobleza,
la que siempre me acepta
y que me cuida como si su hija fuera.

Siempre la acompaño a la cama
y cepillo sus cabellos con canas,
ella se siente feliz y amada
es una viejita de sincera mirada.

I would like to introduce you to my grandmother,
a woman of immense nobility,
the one who always accepts me
and who takes care of me as if I were her daughter.

I always accompany her to bed
and brush her gray hair,
she feels happy and loved
she is a little old lady with a sincere look.

Antes de despedirme de ella,
su pie amarro a una piedra,
lo hago con delicadeza,
así evitó que se vaya y se pierda.

Me despido con un beso
y le digo lo mucho que la quiero,
una buena noche le deseo
y un corazón en su mejilla dejo.

Before I say goodbye to her,
I tie her foot to a stone,
I do it delicately,
thus preventing her from leaving and getting lost.

I kiss her goodbye
and tell her how much I love her,
I wish her a good night
and a heart on her cheek I leave.

Cuando todo está muy oscuro,
el cabello de la abuela hace lo suyo,
se eleva, es un nubarron mayúsculo
y lleva a mi abuela sin miedo alguno.

Por eso la sujeto a una piedra,
para que no se vaya con la nube aventurera,
es un cabello especial el de mi abuela,
el cabello que le dió la experiencia.

When everything is too dark,
grandma's hair does its thing,
it rises up, it's a huge cloud
and carries my grandmother without fear.

That's why I hold her to a stone,
so that she doesn't go with the adventurous cloud,
my grandmother's hair is special,
a hair that gave her the experience.

Y cuando llega la mañana,
voy a ver a mi abuela amada,
le ayudo a salir de la cama
y nos vamos a desayunar empanada.

Que linda es mi abuela,
con su blanca cabellera,
que afortunada soy por tenerla,
es como tener un trozo de cielo en la tierra.

And when the morning comes,
I go to see my beloved grandmother,
I help her out of bed
and we go to have empanada for breakfast.

How beautiful my grandmother is,
with her white hair,
how lucky I am to have her,
it's like having a piece of heaven on earth.
