Mi caminar original / My original journey

Un día quise caminar,
sobre los brazos, nada más,
es peligroso, me podría tropezar
el equilibrio no es fácil de manejar.

Me arriesgué con precaución
y caí, un golpe me di yo,
de nuevo intenté está labor
pero el equilibrio me falló.

One day I wanted to walk,
on my hands, nothing more,
it’s dangerous, I might trip,
balance isn’t easy to maintain.

I took a cautious risk
and fell, bumping myself,
I tried again,
but my balance failed me.

Mi perro que me estaba viendo
y se acercó algo molestó,
el cree que yo nada puedo
y me dice como debo hacerlo.

Me ayuda a levantar
y se pone atrás,
asegura que no voy a caer más
porque con su cuerpo me sostendrá.

My dog was watching me
and came over, looking a little annoyed
he thinks I can't do anything on my own
and tells me how I should do it.

He helps me up
and stands behind me,
assuring me I won't fall again
because he'll hold me up with his body.

El perro logra su hazaña
y mis piernas sostiene con confianza,
¡caminó!, logré lo que soñaba
y todo por un canino que me sostiene como si yo no pesara.

Nos vamos caminando por la ciudad
yo voy feliz con mi marabar
y aunque a nadie le interesa mi andar
feliz me siento de ser tan original.

The dog pulls off his feat
and supports my legs with confidence
he walked! I achieved my dream,
and all thanks to a dog who carries me as if I weighed nothing.

We walk through the city,
I’m happy with my marabar,
and even though no one cares about my walk,
I feel happy to be so unique.
