Me caí de la cama / I fell out of bed
Llegué cansada del trabajo
y me acosté a dormir un rato,
me puse mi antifaz pardo,
para que el ambiente fuera opaco.
Cuando más dormida estaba,
rodé y me caí de la cama,
me asusté pero no me lesioné nada
y regresé a dormir en calma.
I came home tired from work
and lay down to sleep for a while,
putting on my brown eye mask
to block out the light.
When I was fast asleep,
I rolled over and fell out of bed.
I was startled but didn't hurt myself,
and went back to sleep peacefully.
En la mañana salí a buscar
una solución para esta calamidad,
con una alfombra bastará
y un casco para mi cabeza salvaguardar.
Ubiqué junto a la cama la alfombra
y mi perro se emocionó de extraña forma
se recostó en ella sin demora
y se durmió en menos de una hora.
In the morning, I went out to find
a solution to this calamity,
a rug will suffice
and a helmet to protect my head.
I placed the rug next to the bed
and my dog got excited in a strange way,
lay down on it without delay
and fell asleep in less than an hour.
En la noche de nuevo me caí,
esta vez al otro lado me fui,
me levanté de ahí
y la cama a otra habitación corrí.
Traje unos cojines para recostarme,
junto a mi perro dormiré agradable,
ya no caeré a ninguna parte
es como estar de camping.
That night I fell again,
this time I went to the other side,
I got up from there
and ran the bed to another room.
I brought some cushions to lie down on,
I'll sleep comfortably next to my dog,
I won't fall anywhere anymore,
it's like camping.
