Lo que esconde la maleta / What the suitcase hides

Una hormiga encontró una maleta,
escondida entre la maleza,
le pareció útil y bella,
para guardar las reservas
y la llevo con ella.

Entro a su casa,
la puerta era una roca grisacea
dentro estaba algo desordenada,
tenía cosas tiradas
y algunas semillas acumuladas.

An ant found a suitcase,
hidden in the undergrowth,
found it useful and beautiful,
to keep the reserves
and took it with her.

She entered her house,
the door was a grayish rock
inside was a bit messy,
had things lying around
and some seeds accumulated.

La hormiga dejó la maleta,
al lado de unas almendras,
las guardaría cuando la pereza se fuera,
ahora quería dormir una siesta
y se hizo bolita sobre una acolchada tela.

Lo que no sabía la hormiga,
es que la maleta traía una amiga,
una oruga bastante llamativa
y las almendras son su comida favorita,
come tantas que se hincha.

The ant left the suitcase,
next to some almonds,
would keep them when the laziness went away,
now wanted to take a nap
and made a ball on a quilted cloth.

What the ant did not know,
is that the suitcase brought a friend,
a rather striking caterpillar
and almonds are his favorite food
and eats so many that it swells.

Tan grande queda,
que la maleta se abre de forma violenta,
el ruido a la hormiga despierta
y se asombra por lo que encuentra,
una oruga llorando por vergüenza.

Aquella amiga decide marcharse
pero la hormiga la invita a quedarse,
la casa es grande, las dos caben
y con el tiempo amigas se hacen,
recogen semillas para cuando el invierno las alcancé.

So big is left,
that the suitcase opens violently,
the noise to the ant wakes up
and is amazed by what he finds,
a caterpillar crying for shame.

That friend decides to leave
but the ant invites her to stay,
the house is big, the two fit
and in time they become friends,
collect seeds for when winter catches up with them.
