Las mejillas de la Luna / The cheeks of the Moon
La Luna viene contenta
y en sus manos una manta lleva,
sobre una roca se trepa
y extiende la cobija con destreza.
Sobre esta se recuesta
para tomar el sol de forma amena,
quiere tener mejillas bellas,
rosadas y la piel más morena.
The moon comes happily
and carries a blanket in her hands.
She climbs onto a rock
and spreads the blanket with skill.
She lies down on it
to enjoy the sun,
wanting to have beautiful cheeks,
rosy and tanned skin.
Espera por varias horas,
pero el sol ya no funciona,
se levanta de mala forma
porque sus mejillas no se sonrojan.
El sol decide del cielo bajar
y poco a poco desciende de manera audaz,
es que no es solo un astro más,
es un topo estrellado en realidad.
It waits for several hours,
but the sun no longer works,
it rises poorly
because its cheeks do not blush.
The sun decides to descend from the sky
and slowly descends boldly,
because it is not just another star,
it is actually a starry mole.
El topo tiene en su boca rayos,
cálidos y dorados
con estos da luz de inmediato
y alumbra a la Tierra con agrado.
Aquel animal con la rara boca
se acerca a la Luna con custodia
su rostro con los rayos roza
y le pinta las mejillas de tono rosa.
The mole has rays in its mouth,
warm and golden,
with which it immediately gives light
and illuminates the Earth with joy.
That animal with the strange mouth
approaches the Moon with care,
its face brushing against the rays,
painting its cheeks a shade of pink.
El topo se marcha contento,
llevándo en su rostro el astro inmenso,
seguramente saltará hasta el cielo,
para seguir iluminando el mundo entero.
La Luna logró su misión
y con mejillas rosas quedó,
toma su manta con emoción
y regresa al lugar de donde salió.
The mole leaves happily,
carrying the immense star on his face,
surely he will jump up to the sky,
to continue illuminating the whole world.
The Moon accomplished her mission
and was left with rosy cheeks,
she takes her blanket with emotion
and returns to the place from whence she came.
