Las criaturas raras / The strange creatures
Siempre cuido mis plantas
y cada mañana les echo agua,
así permanecen sanas
y con su verde que encanta.
También les hablo
les digo cuanto las amo
y mientras las acicalo con cuidado,
hay un insecto raro observando.
I always take care of my plants
and water them every morning,
so they stay healthy
and retain their enchanting green color.
I also talk to them,
telling them how much I love them,
and while I carefully tend to them,
a strange insect watches.
Me voy de la habitación
y mientras no estoy
el insecto simula ser un flor
y junto a la planta permanece sin oscilación.
Me acerco hasta la planta
y le echo otro poco de agua
el insecto bebe con ansias
feliz porque deshidratado estaba.
I leave the room,
and while I am gone,
the insect pretends to be a flower
and remains motionless next to the plant.
I approach the plant
and give it a little more water.
The insect drinks eagerly,
happy because it was dehydrated.
Al ver aquel insecto,
siento empatía a pesar de su aspecto,
lo tomo y en la silla lo dejo,
quiero ofrecerle algo bueno.
Le comparto de mi ensalada
y el animal come hasta que se sacia,
ahora vivirá en la butaca,
si cuido las plantas también puedo cuidar de criaturas raras.
When I see that insect,
I feel empathy despite its appearance,
I pick it up and leave it on the chair,
I want to offer it something good.
I share my salad with it
and the animal eats until it is full,
now it will live in the armchair,
if I take care of plants, I can also take care of strange creatures.
