La pluma perdida del Alcaraván/ The Lost Feather of the Alcaraván

Un alcaraván llega a la pradera
y se va caminando por esta,
sin querer, pierde una pluma extensa,
marrón y con líneas color arena.

El animal no se da cuenta
y sigue su camino con alegría plena,
él va a recoger la cena
y no se percata de su perdida.

A curlew arrives at the meadow
and walks across it,
unintentionally losing a long feather,
brown with sand-colored stripes.

The animal does not notice
and continues on its way with joy,
going to gather its dinner
and unaware of its loss.

Pero el sol que todo lo observa ñ
se lanza sobre ella,
la pluma toma sin problema
y al cielo se la lleva.

El pájaro camina de regreso,
lleva un trozo de pan fresco
y cuando mira al cielo,
ve su pluma suspendida sin su consentimiento.

But the sun that observes everything
throws itself upon it,
the feather takes it without problem
and carries it to the sky.

The bird walks back,
carrying a piece of fresh bread,
and when it looks up at the sky,
it sees its feather suspended without its consent.

El alcaraván deja el pan
y comienza a cantar,
quiere su pluma recuperar
y el sol gusto le da.

Baja desde lo alto
y hacen un intercambio,
el alcaraván se va con su pluma afanado
y el sol se lleva el pan con encanto.

The curlew leaves the bread
and begins to sing,
it wants to recover its feather
and the sun gives it pleasure.

It descends from above
and they make an exchange,
the curlew leaves with its feather eagerly
and the sun takes the bread with charm.

Los dos no pelearon,
no hubo altercado,
las cosas solucionaron
y cada uno se fue premiado.

The two did not fight,
there was no altercation,
things were resolved,
and each one left rewarded.
