La moneda de oro / The gold coin

Me encontré una moneda de oro,
bajo la cama, durmiendo sabroso,
no tiene dueño, eso es gracioso,
porque su valor es aparatoso.

Con un trozo de tela la tomé
y con delicadeza también,
cuidado con su brillo debo tener,
para no dejar marca en su tez.

I found a gold coin,
under the bed, sleeping tasty,
it has no owner, that's funny,
because its value is huge.

With a piece of cloth I took it
and with delicacy too,
Careful with its shine I must be,
so as not to leave a mark on her complexion.

La guardo en un armario,
pero antes, le doy un abrazo,
la suerte a mí ha llegado
y me siento un ser afortunado.

Me voy de afán
y la puerta del armario olvido cerrar,
por ahí la moneda rueda, se va
y vuelve a caer bajo la cama sin más.

I put her in a closet,
but first, I give her a hug,
luck has come to me
and I feel lucky.

I leave in a hurry
and I forget to close the closet door,
the coin rolls around, goes away
and falls back under the bed without further ado.

Al regresar me acuesto
y sin prisa me duermo,
cuando despierto bajo la cama observo
y otra moneda de oro encuentro.

¿Quien será que pierde sus monedas?,
yo la recojo y la guardó contenta,
tengo suerte, la abundancia a mi llega,
aunque mis ahorros no aumentan.

When I return I lie down
and without haste I fall asleep,
when I wake up I look under the bed
and I find another gold coin.

Who is it that loses his coins?
I pick it up and put it away happy,
I'm lucky, abundance comes to me,
although my savings don't increase.

Y es qué sin darme cuenta,
he sido yo quien pierde su moneda.

And without realizing it,
it was me who lost his coin.
