La marioneta subvalorada /The Underrated Puppet
Tengo una marioneta de ratón,
de gris color
su cola tiene mucha extensión
y sus orejas negras son.
También tengo un títere de sapo
es gracioso y verde claro,
los dos me agradan demasiado,
no sé cuál llevar a pasear un rato.
I have a mouse puppet,
it’s gray in color,
its tail is really long,
and its ears are black.
I also have a frog puppet,
it’s funny and light green,
I like them both so much,
I don’t know which one to take out for a walk.

nada entiendo,
ahora solo un títere tengo.
I decide to leave the mouse on the table
and walk away with the frog without a care,
while I’m gone, the mouse gets upset
and leaves without a second thought.
Just as it’s leaving,
I arrive with the green puppet,
I don’t understand a thing,
now I only have a puppet.

I look at my green toad,
and the poor thing doesn’t have a tail,
the mouse had a really strong one,
so I’m going to find a string to use as a tail.
I come back with an orange string
and eagerly tie it to the animal
now the toad has a graceful tail
and the mouse in the house is no longer
missing.

The rodent watches from afar
and senses that they didn’t notice his absence,
they didn’t care that he was gone,
they went on with their lives, as if he didn’t exist.
The thing is, one must be
where they are truly valued and loved,
otherwise, it’s better to move on
and find a new place.

Very nice kids age is
The bilingual format is something Hive does better than most platforms — it naturally surfaces content across language communities instead of siloing them. The puppet metaphor works well; there is always tension between who holds the strings and who appears to be moving.
