La hoja viajera / The traveling leaf

Una hoja viajera lleva una maleta,
entre matorrales pasea
y cuando encuentra una flor bella,
con sutileza se acerca.

Habla con la flor
y la toma con su autorización
la guarda en su maleta con precaución
y se va feliz a viajar sin temor.

A traveling leaf carries a suitcase,
among bushes it wanders
and when it finds a beautiful flower
it subtly approaches.

She talks to the flower
and takes it with her permission
she puts it in her suitcase with caution
and goes off happily to travel without fear.

La hoja recorre varios lugares,
hasta que arriba a una casa grande,
donde hay una matera frágil,
con una planta que triste yace.

La hoja se acerca hasta ella
y la saluda con cordialidad inmensa,
le dice que trae una sorpresa
para que la alegría a ella vuelva.

The leaf travels through several places,
until it reaches a large house,
where there is a fragile pot,
with a plant lying sadly.

The leaf approaches it
and greets it with immense cordiality,
tells her that it brings a surprise
so that joy may return to her

Con rapidez abre la maleta
y saca una flor bella,
con cuidado en la planta la sujeta
dando una floración como sorpresa.

La planta se pone contenta,
ahora triste no se encuentra,
lleva una flor nueva,
un regalo de una hoja viajera.

She quickly opens the suitcase
and takes out a beautiful flower,
carefully holding it to the plant
giving a bloom as a surprise.

The plant is happy,
now sad it is not to be found,
it carries a new flower,
a gift from a traveling leaf.
