La figura restaurada / The restored figure

Había una fruta anaranjada,
que en el centro era estrellada,
desde adentro algo se desplaza
y sale una figura blanca.

Esta figura lleva gafas doradas
y una tierna mirada,
se ve sucia y arrugada,
por eso va en busca de una restaurada.

There was an orange fruit,
which in the center was starry,
from inside something moved
and a white figure comes out.

This figure wears golden glasses
and a tender look,
it looks dirty and wrinkled,
so it goes in search of a restored one.

Llega a un lavadero de ropa,
con cuidado lo explora,
por un muro se asoma
y se lanza sin zozobra.

Cae a un lugar inundado,
donde se lava la ropa y los zapatos,
flota por un buen rato
y se va por el sifón con su atuendo mojado.

He arrives at a laundry room,
carefully explores it,
through a wall he leans out
and throws himself down without fear.

He falls into a flooded place,
where he washes his clothes and shoes,
floats for a long time
and then goes down the siphon, walled-in

Pensé que no volvería
y que se perdería en la tubería,
sin embargo en la noche a llegado,
regresó donde la fruta de color anaranjado.

La figura llega recién planchada,
limpia y completamente blanca,
aún lleva sus doradas gafas,
se posa en la pared y sonríe, ha sido restaurada.

I thought he wouldn't come back
and would be lost in the pipe,
yet in the night it arrived,
returned to the orange fruit.

The figure arrives freshly ironed,
clean and completely white,
still wearing his golden spectacles,
she perches on the wall and smiles, she has been restored.
