La crisálida y el escarabajo / The chrysalis and the beetle
Viene bajando despacio,
una crisálida de color pardo,
un escarabajo la está observando
y poco a poco se va acercando.
El escarabajo toma a la crisálida,
y en un mal movimiento cae sobre su espalda,
patas arriba queda angustiada
sin poder hacer nada.
It comes down slowly,
a brown chrysalis,
a beetle is watching it
and slowly approaching.
The beetle picks up the chrysalis,
and in a bad move falls on its back,
upside down, distressed,
unable to do anything.
La crisálida un poco le ayuda
y el animal se voltea con premura,
toma la crisálida con astucia,
con cuidado para no dañar su figura.
Camina hasta su madriguera
y ahí se oculta sin problema,
la oscuridad llega
y el escarabajo duermido queda.
The chrysalis helps him a little,
and the animal turns quickly,
taking the chrysalis cunningly,
careful not to damage its shape.
He walks to his burrow
and hides there without any trouble.
Darkness falls,
and the beetle falls asleep.
Al día siguiente,
cuando amanece,
de la guarida algo emerge
una mariposa hermosa y fuerte.
El escarabajo sale a despedirla,
la mariposa se va tranquila,
protegió la crisálida sin medida
hasta que completo el ciclo con alegría.
The next day,
at dawn,
something emerges from the lair:
a beautiful, strong butterfly.
The beetle comes out to say goodbye,
the butterfly leaves calmly,
it protected the chrysalis without measure
until it completed the cycle with joy.
