La Cita Anhelada -The long-awaited meeting

Un día en verano,
brota bajo la tierra algo,
es una loba con bigotes largos,
amarillos y bien peinados.

El animal se levanta
y deja ver su altura baja,
en un tronco trepa afanada
y se sienta a esperar la cita anhelada.

One summer day,
something emerges from beneath the earth,
it is a she-wolf with long whiskers,
yellow and neatly groomed.

The animal stands up,
revealing her short stature,
she climbs eagerly up a tree trunk
and sits down to wait for the long awaited rendezvous.

Llega tras un rato un gato,
tuerto y anaranjado,
de acerca a la loba de inmediato
y le pide que se casen más rato.

La loba se asombra
y de inmediato lo ignora,
el gato se va, poco le importa
y luego llega un hongo a la zona.

A little while later, a cat arrives,
one-eyed and orange,
and immediately approaches the she-wolf
and asks her to marry him later.

The she-wolf is taken aback
and immediately ignores him,
the cat leaves, not caring much,
and then a mushroom arrives on the scene

Este es un Shiitake,
y corteja a la loba con afanes,
pero el animal, caso no le hace
hasta que llega el sol deslumbrante.

La loba de inmediato se levanta
mientras el sol se acerca con gracia,
lo toma de la mano, lo esperaba,
es la cita que tanto anhelaba.

This is a Shiitake mushroom,
and it eagerly courts the she-wolf,
but she pays it no mind
until the dazzling sun arrives.

The she-wolf immediately rises
as the sun approaches gracefully,
takes him by the hand, she was waiting for him,
it is the rendezvous she had longed for so much.
