La bola amarilla / The yellow ball

Una mamá gansa,
lleva una bola amarillada,
parece vieja y maltratada,
porque su coloración es opaca.

Aquel animal la arrastra
y la lleva a su morada,
una zona alta,
una cueva de piedras grisáceas.

A mother goose,
carries a yellowish ball,
it looks old and battered,
because its coloring is dull.

That animal drags it
and carries it to its abode,
a high area,
a cave of grayish stones.

Cuida la bola con esmero
y hasta le lee un cuento,
la abriga con un suéter viejo
y así pasa el tiempo.

Y un día sin razón,
la bola se va de excursión
gira y cae sin preocupación
mientras la gansa ni cuenta se dio.

He takes good care of the ball
and even reads her a story,
he wraps it up in an old sweater
and so time goes by.

And one day for no reason,
the ball goes on an excursion
it spins and falls without a care
while the goose didn't even notice.

Cuando el animal descubre la situación
se va a buscar lo que perdió,
lo encuentra en otra locación,
escondido entre un suelo marrón.

La gansa la revisa,
descubre que le creció una raíz bonita,
quizás no la cuidó como debía
y prefiere dejarla en su hábitat tranquila.

When the animal discovers the situation
it goes looking for what it lost,
it finds it in another location,
hidden in the brown soil.

The goose checks it out,
discovers that it has grown a nice root,
maybe she didn't take care of it as she should have
and prefers to leave it in its quiet habitat

La gansa se va a casa,
el ocaso casi la alcanza,
la bola se queda en su nueva morada
y al amanecer hay una sorpresa inesperada.

En aquel lugar nació una flor
y cuando la gansa ve esta situación,
se alegra, tomó una buena decisión,
al dejar a la bola en esta locación.

The goose goes home,
the sunset almost catches up with her,
the ball stays in its new abode
and at dawn there is an unexpected surprise.

In that place a flower was born
and when the goose sees this situation,
she is happy, she made a good decision,
she made a good decision to leave the ball in this location.
