El plátano verde y el sol / The green banana and the sun

El sol llega un día a la cocina,
donde unos plátanos habitan,
con cautela los mira
y escoge uno sin causa conocida.

Lo mira detenidamente,
es el más pequeño y está verde,
su mano pasa suavemente
y unos ojos mágicamente aparecen.

The sun arrives one day in the kitchen,
where some bananas live,
cautiously looks at them
and chooses one for no apparent reason.

He looks at it carefully,
it is the smallest and green,
his hand gently passes over it
and eyes appear out of nowhere.

El sol le promete que volverá
y lentamente se va,
el plátano trata de ir detrás,
pero agarrado del tallo está.

El plátano verde es opacado,
por otro plátano amarillado,
es grande y lo va aplastando
hasta que lo deja en el fondo rezagado.

The sun promises it will return
and slowly goes away,
the banana tries to follow,
but it is stuck to the stem.

The green banana is overshadowed
by another yellowed banana,
it is large and crushes it
until it leaves it behind at the bottom.

Y cuando piensa que nada pasará,
llega el sol con un carro de azul tonalidad,
con esmero el pequeño va a buscar
y saca el plátano con afán.

En su carro azul se lo lleva,
para recorrer la ciudadela
el sol le dio vida a una fruta pequeña
para que disfrutará con grandeza.

And when he thinks nothing will happen,
the sun arrives in a blue wagon,
and the little boy carefully searches for
and eagerly pulls out the banana.

He takes it away in his blue wagon,
to travel around the city.
The sun gave life to a small fruit
so that he could enjoy it with greatness.
