El pez del caño / The fish in the pipe
Un duende navideño
está entregando juguetes nuevos
para todos hay algo bueno
incluso para un pez que vive bajo el suelo,

El duende deja en una cañería cercana,
un caballo de apariencia agraciada,

A Christmas elf
is delivering new toys.
There is something good for everyone,
even for a fish that lives underground,
an animal full of mystery.
The elf leaves a graceful-looking horse
in a nearby pipe.
It is made of wood, but it rides well.
However, the fish rejects it.

When dawn breaks in this place,
a bee arrives without haste,
sees the horse with no one else around,

The bee gallops away,
happy with its horse,
having paid, it feels at ease
and knows that the fish will be grateful
for the money it left at its home.
However, that fish from the pipe
receives no gifts or payments.
It takes the bill out of its sacred home
and leaves it on the pavement, forgotten,
so that someone in need may find it.
