Un perro con cuadros
se asoma entre el faro
¿Será un ser mágico
o un habitual canino azulado?

Soy un gato pardo
y los perros me dan pánico,
mejor me ocultó en un lugar lejano,
no sea que comida ande buscando.

A checkered dog
peeks through the lighthouse
Could it be a magical being
or a regular bluish canine?
I am a brown cat
and dogs scare me,
I'd better hide in a faraway place,
lest it be looking for food.

Aquel perro sale del lugar
y se marcha, sin nada más,
aprovecho para la lámpara ir a revisar
y probarla a ver si dentro puedo estar.

Me lleno de alegría al ver,
que en ella quepo y me veo bien,
pero me atranco, no puedo emigrar
el perro regresa y yo no me puedo marchar,
atrapado quedé en la lámpara de cristal.

That dog leaves the place
and leaves, with nothing else,
I take advantage of the lamp to go check
and test it, to see if I can be inside.
I am filled with joy to see
that I fit in it and I look good,
but I get stuck, I can't emigrate.
the dog returns and I can't leave,
I'm trapped in the crystal lamp.

El perro con cuadros es amable
y se guarda en otra lámpara grande,
desde ahí da instrucciones agradables,
para salir del lugar sin lastimarme.

Y tras un rato lo logro,
salgo ileso y indoloro,
me ayudó un perro bello,
un nuevo amigo que ahora tengo.

The dog with pictures is kind
and keeps himself in another big lamp,
from there he gives pleasant instructions,
to get out of the place without hurting me.
And after a while I make it,
I come out unharmed and painless,
I was helped by a beautiful dog,
a new friend I now have.
