El Oso en el Árbol / The bears in the tree

Una alpaca solitaria,
por la pradera anda,
lleva un oso de tonalidad clara
y con insistencia lo carga.

Se sienta un rato bajo el árbol
y observa lo que hay a su lado
se alza y deja el oso colgado
en una rama y se va afanado.

A lone alpaca,
wanders through the meadow,
carrying a light-colored teddy bear
and persistently lugging it along.

It sits for a while under the tree
and looks at what’s beside it,
it stands up, leaves the teddy bear hanging
from a branch, and hurries off.

Pasan los días
y el oso continúa en la rama elegida,
de repente, le cambia la vida
y llega un perro de mirada bonita.

El canino observa el oso claro
no sabe si está solo o acompañado
hasta que decide tomarlo
y se va feliz con el oso encontrado.

The days go by,
and the bear remains on the branch he chose,
when suddenly, his life changes
and a dog with a kind gaze arrives.

The dog watches the bear closely,
not sure if he’s alone or with someone else,
until he decides to take him
and walks away happily with the bear he found.

Lo lleva hasta su vivienda
y en el sofá lo sube con delicadeza,
lo abraza con clemencia
y se queda dormido junto al oso de felpa.

Cuando llega el dueño de la casa,
ve una escena tierna en la sala,
su perro,un oso abraza,
es un nuevo juguete que apareció de la nada.

He takes it to his home
and gently lifts it onto the sofa,
hugs it tenderly,
and falls asleep next to the stuffed bear.

When the homeowner arrives,
he sees a heartwarming scene in the living room,
his dog is hugging a bear,
a new toy that appeared out of nowhere.

Muchas veces tenemos cosas,
que no usamos, tampoco sobran,
es mejor darlas sin zozobra
y a otros alegrar con esta obra.

We often have things
that we don’t use, but we don’t need to keep either,
it’s better to give them away without hesitation
and bring joy to others through this act.
