El mosquito y la estrella / The Mosquito and the Star

Algo extraño viene volando
y comienza a caer despacio,
aterriza sobre un plato claro,
que contiene fruta de tonos variados.

Entre la fruta naranja se incrusta,
es una estrella única,
es opaca pero alumbra
y un ser extraño la busca.

Something strange comes flying
and begins to fall slowly,
landing on a clear plate,
containing fruit of various colors.

It becomes embedded among the orange fruit,
it is a unique star,
it is opaque but it shines,
and a strange being seeks it.

Es un mosquito polinizador,
con bella coloración,
baja por la pared sin preocupación
y llega hasta el plato con ilusión.

Toma la estrella con su boca,
con delicadeza hermosa,
revisa que sus puntas no estén romas
y que no tenga comida en ninguna zona.

It is a pollinating mosquito,
with beautiful coloring,
it flies down the wall without a care
and reaches the plate with excitement.

It takes the star with its mouth,
with beautiful delicacy,
checking that its points are not blunt
and that there is no food anywhere on it.

Aquel mosquito polinizador,
se lleva la estrella con determinación,
sale volando de la habitación
y se aleja sin decir adiós.

Lleva la estrella hasta el cielo,
de donde no debió caer en ningún momento,
con su boca la va sosteniendo
para que siga brillando entre nubarrones bellos.

That pollinating mosquito,
takes the star with determination,
flies out of the room
and leaves without saying goodbye.

It carries the star to the sky,
where it should never have fallen,
holding it in its mouth
so that it continues to shine among beautiful clouds.
