El lobo que traje a casa / The wolf I brought home
Traje unas ramas de cilantro,
para una sopa que prepararé en un rato,
sobre la mesa lo he dejado,
pero parece que tiene algo enredado.
Las ramas empiezan a moverse
y se cae un animal de este,
barbas largas y amarillas tiene
es un lobo de cuento con cuerpo verde.
I brought some cilantro branches,
for a soup I'll make in a little while,
I left them on the table,
but it seems like something is tangled up in them.
The branches start to move
and an animal falls out,
it has long yellow whiskers,
it's a fairy tale wolf with a green body.
Aquel ser comienza a explorar
y llega a unos plátanos sin madurar,
entre estos se quiere camuflar
tiene miedo de que lo puedan encontrar.
Tras un rato pasa un banano,
y el ser verde se siente angustiado,
se lanza sobre él sin pensarlo,
lo derriba y en el suelo quedan ambos.
That being begins to explore
and comes across some unripe bananas,
among which it wants to hide,
afraid that it might be found.
After a while, a banana tree passes by,
and the green being feels distressed,
throwing itself at it without thinking,
knocking it down and leaving both of them on the ground.
El banano logra ponerse de pie
y le dice al lobo que su enemigo no es,
que sabe de un lugar para él
donde podrá camuflarse y miedo no tener.
El banano la guía a una selva,
donde hay árboles y maleza,
el lobo a esta se acerca
y se camufla entre las plantas sin problema.
The banana manages to stand up
and tells the wolf that he is not his enemy,
that he knows of a place for him
where he can hide and not be afraid.
The banana guides him to a forest,
where there are trees and undergrowth,
the wolf approaches it
and hides among the plants without any problem.
Un lobo de cuentos a casa llegó
y poco tiempo en este lugar se quedó,
eso no importa, feliz estoy,
de que el banano ayudara sin condición,
aquí entre todos hay cooperación.
A wolf from stories came home
and stayed in this place for a short time,
