El Hongo de mis plátanos / The fungus on my bananas
Entre unos plátanos maduros,
amarillos y robustos,
se fue asomando un ser de ojos oscuros
un hongo de color profundo.
El individuo observó los plátanos
y se trepó en estos afanado,
pronto apareció algo caminando
un girasol bastante agraciado.
Among some ripe bananas,
yellow and sturdy,
a dark-eyed creature began to appear,
a deep-colored mushroom.
The creature looked at the bananas
and eagerly climbed up them,
soon something appeared, walking along,
a rather graceful sunflower.
La flor se acerca con entusiasmo
y toma el hongo con cuidado,
lo lleva cargado,
parece que lo ha adoptado.
Llega hasta una pradera
y ahí un rato espera,
hasta que un Shiitake llega
y la flor el hongo le entrega.
The flower approaches eagerly
and picks up the mushroom carefully,
carrying it along,
as if it had adopted it.
It reaches a meadow
and waits there for a while,
until a shiitake arrives
and the flower hands the mushroom over to it.
El Shiitake lo recibe con cariño
es un hongo pequeñito,
lo lleva consigo
y la flor sigue su camino.
El shiitake lo entra a su casa,
en una gran montaña
y cuando el tiempo pasa
la serranía se tiñe de una coloración mágica.
The shiitake welcomes it with love,
it’s a tiny mushroom,
it carries it with it,
and the flower continues on its way.
The shiitake brings it into its home,
on a great mountain,
and as time goes by,
the mountain range takes on a magical hue.
El hongo pequeño con su belleza
pintó la montaña de una tonalidad bella
ya no es marrón y modesta,
ahora es violeta.
The little mushroom, with its beauty,
painted the mountain a beautiful shade,
it is no longer brown and modest,
now it is violet.
