Voy a pintar,
una pulga de verdad,
bien bonita la voy a dejar
y un moño rosa también llevará

Es que las pulgas son feas,
pero son pequeñas,
por eso pinto una de estas,
que no ocupe espacio en mi vivienda.

I'm going to paint,

I'm going to make it pretty

Fleas are ugly,
but they are small,
that's why I paint one of these,
so it won't take up space in my house.

Cuando termino la cuelgo en la pared
y me marchó a tomar el té,
es que ya son las seis,
justo la hora para comer.

Mientras me tomo el té
la pulga se va sin saber porque,
deja el lienzo blanco en la habitación
solo y sin trazos de ningún color.

When I'm done I hang it on the wall
and leave for tea,

Al regresar me siento a observar,
el cuadro que solo está,
no entiendo como se fue del lugar
y en la calle no la podré cuidar.

En ese momento la pulga entra
Y trae una sorpresa,
es comida para la cena
porque sabe que el té se come con galletas.
