El diario de un árbol / The day of a tree

La vida de un árbol,
no es sencilla como estás pensando,
no solo dan sombra en tiempo soleado,
ni frutos dulces y madurados.

No duermen en la pradera
y en las noches a su casa regresan,
se acuestan como cualquiera,
en una cama de suavidad media.

The life of a tree,
is not as simple as you might think,
they don't just provide shade in sunny weather,
nor sweet and ripe fruits.

They do not sleep in the meadow
and at night they return home,
they go to bed like anyone else,
in a bed of medium softness.

Se levantan muy temprano,
antes que el sol deje ver sus rayos,
la cara se limpia con un trapo
y desayuna agua con nitratos.

Antes de salir elije su atuendo
y se mira en el espejo,
a veces usa un suéter blanco grueso,
para avisar que nevó, el frío fue extremo.

They get up very early,
before the sun lets its rays shine,
wipe their face with a rag
and has nitrate water for breakfast.

Before going out she chooses her attire
and looks in the mirror,
sometimes she wears a thick white sweater,
to warn that it snowed, the cold was extreme.

Así sale a su lote,
elegante y con honores,
es un árbol, tiene porte
y sobre el césped se pone.

Ahí permanece en el día,
todos pasan, nadie lo mira
y cuando su jornada termina
se va a casa, mañana será un nuevo día.
