El día que el sol se jubiló / The day the sun retired

Dicen que por el universo,
viaja un tomate fresco,
es rojo, parece contento
porque sonríe todo el tiempo.

Aquel tomate pasa junto al sol
y robó un rayito de amarillo color,
siguió su camino sin pudor,
el sol ni cuenta se dio.

They say that through the universe
travels a fresh tomato,
it's red, it looks happy

That tomato passes by the sun
and stole a ray of yellow color,

Fue hasta su casa,
tenía rayos sobre una mesa clara,
desde tiempo atrás los recolectaba
y era momento de crear una obra magna.

Empezó a coser con habilidad
con una aguja de violeta tonalidad,
es demorado, tardó de más,
pero el trabajo bien debía quedar.
