El auto que no funcionaba / The car that did not work

Estaba sentado mirando la calle
y pasó un auto de color interesante,
era amarillo, pero no era un taxi
parecía un lujoso Ferrari.

Iba a buena velocidad
hasta que dejó de funcionar,
patas arriba fue a dar
y yo me acerqué para ayudar.

I was sitting watching the street
and a car of interesting color went by,
it was yellow, but it was not a cab
it looked like a luxurious Ferrari.

It was going at a good speed
until it stopped running,
upside down went to give
and I went over to help.

Lo puse en su posición normal
y el auto no pudo andar,
lo cargué, no lo podía abandonar
no se deja a quien ayuda pueda necesitar.

Lo llevé hasta la casa
y lo dejé en la sala,
traje la chimenea para que lo abrigara
y así sus llantas funcionarán.

I put it in its normal position
and the car could not run,
I loaded it, I could not abandon it
you don't leave it to anyone who needs help.

I took him to the house
and left him in the living room,
I brought the fireplace to keep him warm
so his tires would work.

Tras un rato el carro funcionó,
el calor de la chimenea lo salvó
salió muy rápido de la habitación
y se marchó sin decir adiós.

No hubo una despedida,
no agradeció por la ayuda recibida
se marchó con prisa
como si no necesitara nada en la vida.

After a while the cart worked,
the warmth of the fireplace saved him
he left the room very quickly
and left without saying goodbye.

There was no farewell,
did not thank him for the help received
he left in a hurry
as if he did not need anything in life.

Yo regresé a mi casa
y espero que bien le vaya,
me gustó dar ayuda a quien lo necesitaba
aunque se fuera sin decir gracias.

I returned to my home

I enjoyed giving help to those who needed it
even if you left without saying thank you.
