Cosas raras de las zarigüeyas / Weird things about opossums

Una zarigüeya estudiosa,
leía para aprender nuevas cosas
estaba en su madriguera sola
hasta que llegó una voladora.

Era una mariposa amarilla
y se posó en unas ramas qué ahí habían
a la zarigüeya le pareció bonita
y se detuvo a mirarla con armonía.

A studious opossum,
read to learn new things.
It was alone in its burrow
until a flying creature arrived.

It was a yellow butterfly
and it landed on some branches that were there.
The opossum thought it was beautiful
and stopped to look at it harmoniously.

La armonía le duró poco
y la mariposa tomó con antojo,
se la comió sin enojo
y luego se durmió para digerir todo.

Y cuando profunda la zarigüeya estaba,
de su cola nacieron alas,
se elevó por el techo de su casa
y salió volando afanada.

The harmony did not last long,
and the butterfly took it with desire,
ate it without anger,
and then fell asleep to digest it all.

And when the opossum was fast asleep,
wings sprouted from its tail,
it rose up to the ceiling of its house
and flew away busily.

De repente la zarigüeya despertó,
y su cola revisó,
era un sueño que la angustió
y culpable por la mariposa se sintió.

Cuando la zarigüeya se volteó,
tenía alas de amarillo color,
aún no descubre esta situación
no sabe que le crecieron alas en la parte posterior.

Suddenly the opossum woke up,
and checked its tail,
it was a dream that distressed it,
and it felt guilty for the butterfly.

When the opossum turned around,
it had yellow wings,
it still hasn't discovered this situation,
it doesn't know that wings have grown on its back.
