Hola queridos amigos, estamos terminando el año y en algunos países latinos, para el 31 de diciembre, elaboramos un muñeco llamado " año viejo", el cual se lleva todo lo que queremos despedir del año que pasó y así empezar el año nuevo con las mejores energías. Al pensar en el 2023, fue perfecto, el único punto negro fue la enfermedad de mi perrita Tekila, quien falleció por un cáncer que llenó su cuerpo.

Por eso, quise perdonar a esta enfermedad y decirle adiós, con la fe de que Tekila ahora disfruta del cielo y me espera al final del arcoiris. Elaboré este muñeco con papel, no necesité nada más que tijeras, pegamento, algodón, marcadores y papel kraf.

Hello dear friends, we are ending the year and in some Latin countries, for December 31, we make a doll called "old year", which takes everything we want to say goodbye to the year that passed and thus start the new year with the best energies. Thinking about 2023, it was perfect, the only black spot was the illness of my dog Tekila, who died of cancer that filled her body.
Therefore, I wanted to forgive this illness and say goodbye, with the faith that Tekila now enjoys heaven and waits for me at the end of the rainbow. I made this doll with paper, I needed nothing more than scissors, glue, cotton, markers and kraf paper.

Lo primero que hice fue cortar la forma, la cual es redonda y con patas que se adhieren con fuerza a las demás células. Le fuí pintando los detalles con marcadores u colores. Le coloqué cabello, para hacerlo más agraciado y va relleno con trozos de papel y algodón, ya que estos materiales, se humedecen fácil con alcohol para luego encender. Lo hice pequeño, porque la idea es poder hacerlo en casa, sin tener que salir y que su quema sea rápida.

The first thing I did was to cut out the shape, which is round and with legs that adhere tightly to the other cells. I painted the details with markers or colors. I put hair, to make it more graceful and it is filled with pieces of paper and cotton, as these materials are easy to moisten with alcohol and then ignite. I made it small, because the idea is to be able to do it at home, without having to go out and that its burning is fast.

Estos son rituales que se hacen en Colombia para despedir el año y aunque puede sonar extraño el perdonar una enfermedad, siento que los humanos debemos perdonar cada situación que nos causó dolor, para así mismo poder estar más tranquilos. Así que a las 12 de la noche, cuando todo el mundo se abrace y algunos bailen, yo le diré adiós a las células malas, para empezar el 2024 renovada y sin tristezas.

These are rituals that are done in Colombia to say goodbye to the year and although it may sound strange to forgive an illness, I feel that humans should forgive every situation that caused us pain, so we can be calmer. So at 12 o'clock at night, when everyone embraces each other and some dance, I will say goodbye to the bad cells, to start 2024 renewed and without sadness.
