Greetings friends of PINMAPPLE!

I was visiting my hometown exactly in the historic center of Barquisimeto, Lara state, this is considered the fourth most populated city in my beautiful country Venezuela, in just a few blocks you can find very important icons full of history and events from the past of this great city.

I needed to carry out a series of legal procedures in this part of my city and I took the opportunity to take a short tour with two of my children. A large number of people from different parts of the city and the country attend this place daily who go in search of of legal procedures.

It is almost impossible not to visit every corner of this cultural heritage, we begin the tour on Calle 26 with Carrera 17 right where the advisory council of Barquisimeto is located.

Our first photographs were next to an image of the Divina Pastora made of iron, this Virgin is considered the patron saint of my city according to the Catholic Church, we continued the tour meeting with the statue of the founder of Barquisimeto Juan Guillermo Iribarren.

Following the tour we find the beautiful house of Eustoquio Gomez, which was built in 1928 and which functioned according to history as the residence of the governor, this house has functioned as a high school, school, museum and currently as a prefecture, decorating in a very striking way the street 25 with race 17 of the center of this important city.

Right in front of this house we can see the National Building, it is still one of the most recent constructions, built in the 50s and which was intended to do all kinds of legal procedures, there you can find courts, labor inspectorates, mail, courts, among others.

On Sundays it serves as part of the recreation for residents and foreigners, it is a fairly cool and quiet place, before I used to bring my children to see the number of pigeons that come to the place, I always brought them some rice or some food to that my children could see them up close and even touch them.

On the diagonal corner of this building is the beautiful Plaza Bolívar, currently it is very well preserved and guarded, wherever you look you can enjoy the beautiful plants that this square contains, I am particularly a nature lover and I can assure you that I could pass Whole hours looking at this beauty of a place.

This day was too hot and we decided to stay here for a while enjoying the breeze and such a beautiful landscape, and of course taking lots of pictures.

We continued the tour after a break towards street 26 with Race 16, there we were able to photograph from the outside the oldest temple in my city, this is the Immaculate Conception church, we could not enter since they were repairing it, this church is more than 200 years old of antiquity and that each government has made its best effort to preserve it.

This was the first cathedral in Barquisimeto, I remember that when I was a child, there was a time when they were not allowed to enter it since it was in very poor condition and it was dangerous for people, currently they have restored it but they still continue to take care of it so that it does not deteriorates, there I was able to baptize my third daughter, I have always found this church very beautiful.

We continue towards Carrera 15 between streets 24, 25 and 26 where the headquarters is located, which was a prison in the 1800s. I don't know much about this monument, I only know that my father told us that part of my army worked there. city, on the next corner is the museum which functioned as the first central hospital in my city, it is currently under restoration and visitors are not allowed.

This place represents a very important part of my childhood since my father used to bring us on weekends to walk and enjoy all this Wonderful place histórico.

On 26th street between 16 and 17 is the David Tower, a very important site in my city, this site is especially for doing tax and business procedures, here you can find lawyers' buffets, banks, cafes, commercial and real estate records.

If you have the opportunity to visit this important city in Venezuela, do not miss out on these wonderful historical places, thanks for visiting my post, until another opportunity 🤗
