Celebrando San Valentín en Cubiro, Lara, Venezuela 🇻🇪 [esp/eng]

Saludos queridos amigos de WORLDMAPPIN, es un gusto estar por acá compartiendo con ustedes parte de mis aventuras 🥰❤️

El pasado 14 de febrero, día del amor y la amistad, decidimos dar un paseo hacia las Lomas de Cubiro, estado Lara, Venezuela 🇻🇪 , famosas por su clima frío de montaña, su verde paisaje y los paseos a caballo, destino ideal para la tranquilidad y poder escapar de la rutina y estrés del día a día, disfrutando de lo que más me gusta de la vida la naturaleza. ⛰️❤️

Greetings dear friends of WORLDMAPPIN, it's a pleasure to be here sharing with you part of my adventures 🥰

Last February 14, Valentine's Day, we decided to take a walk to Lomas de Cubiro, Lara state, Venezuela 🇻🇪, famous for its cold mountain climate, its green landscape and horseback riding, an ideal destination for tranquility and to be able to escape from the routine and stress of everyday life, enjoying what I like most in life: nature. ⛰️❤️

Decididos a escapar de la rutina y de los ruidos de la ciudad nos dirigimos a las agradables Lomas de Cubiro , ubicadas a tan sólo un poco más de una hora en carretera, en unos aproximados 70 km desde mi lugar de residencia, disfrutando de todo lo que nos conseguimos en el camino.

En mi último viaje llegamos tan solo a la ciudad de Quibor, esta vez continuamos nuestro camino agarrando el cruce hacia el pueblo de Cuara, siguiendo por paso real, esta es una carretera angosta llena de curvas y precipicios, con una vegetación xerofila en su mayoría, pero con un paisaje espectacular, casi toda la vista de esta carretera es como un mirador logrando disfrutar de todas esas bellezas naturales.

Determined to escape from the routine and noise of the city, we headed to the pleasant Lomas de Cubiro, located just a little more than an hour by road, approximately 70 km from my place of residence, enjoying everything we found along the way.

On my last trip we only reached the city of Quibor, this time we continued our way taking the junction towards the town of Cuara, following the royal pass, this is a narrow road full of curves and precipices, with a xerophytic vegetation for the most part, but with a spectacular landscape, almost the entire view of this road is like a lookout point managing to enjoy all those natural beauties.

Actualmente está un poco deteriorada esta vía, supongo que ha sido por los movimientos de tierra y lluvia, hay trayectos en los cuales es un poco difícil pasar sobre todo cuando ya se está llegando al pequeño pueblo de Cubiro , en la actualidad es poco los vehículos grandes que puedes ver en el camino, la gran mayoría de personas se trasladan en moto.

En mi país ha aumentado mucho el uso de este tipo de vehículo ya que consume menos combustible y es más rápido a la hora de llegar a los lugares, me gustaría algún día tener una moto para poder viajar en ella y saber que se siente, ja ja me imagino que se debe llegar con las piernas adolorida o entumecidas.

Continuamos en el recorrido, un poco antes de agarrar el cruce hacia la subida más fuerte para llegar a las Lomas están los famosos kioscos de venta de fresas con crema, estos han existido desde que tengo uso de razón, allí puedes degustar unas ricas fresas con crema típicas de la región, al igual que las cachapas de maíz.

This road is currently in a bit of a state of disrepair, I suppose it's because of the earth movements and rain, there are stretches where it's a bit difficult to get through, especially when you're already approaching the small town of Cubiro. Nowadays, there are very few large vehicles that you can see on the road, the vast majority of people travel by motorcycle.

In my country, the use of this type of vehicle has increased a lot since it consumes less fuel and is faster when it comes to getting to places. I would like to have a motorcycle one day so I can travel on it and know what it feels like, ha ha I imagine that you must arrive with sore or numb legs.

We continue on the route, a little before taking the junction towards the steepest climb to get to Las Lomas there are the famous kiosks selling strawberries with cream, these have existed for as long as I can remember, there you can taste some delicious strawberries with cream typical of the region, as well as corn cachapas.

En esta oportunidad no quisimos acercarnos al pueblo ya que lo que queríamos era descansar, pero el que desea llegar hasta aquí y quedarse puede encontrar una gran cantidad de posadas y hoteles, también puedes encontrar iglesias, y locales de todo lo que necesites, estos pueblos han avanzado mucho a pesar de todas las dificultades que hemos tenido en el país.

Al llegar al restaurante la gran parada, ya estás a un paso de las Lomas de Cubiro, a medida que vas recorriendo la avenida te van ofreciendo puestos para estacionar, diferentes chicos y señores muy atentos que se encargan de cuidar los vehículos por tan solo 1$ el rato que permanezcas allí.

En mi caso mi hijo es discapacitado y usa silla de ruedas así que decidimos buscar uno de los puestos más accesibles para la entrada a las Lomas, un niño me ofreció el lugar perfecto así que di la vuelta en nuestra camioneta y luego regresé hasta el lugar que me estaba guardando, al llegar al lugar te puedes dar cuenta que cuentas con buenos servicios, en el lugar hay una persona que te ofrece el servicio de baños por tan solo 0.30$ , quizás en ocasiones resulte costoso pagar esto cada vez que vas a utilizar el baño pero también debemos entender como turistas que es parte de mantener el lugar en buenas condiciones, los baños están completamente limpios y cuidados y si no fuera por el pago esto no se lograría, así que como turistas debemos ir preparados para cancelar este servicio.

This time we didn't want to go near the town because what we wanted was to rest, but those who want to come here and stay can find a large number of inns and hotels, you can also find churches, and shops for everything you need, these towns have advanced a lot despite all the difficulties we have had in the country.

When you get to the restaurant La Gran Parada, you are already one step away from Lomas de Cubiro, as you go along the avenue you are offered parking spaces, different very attentive boys and gentlemen who take care of the vehicles for only $1 for the time you stay there.

In my case my son is disabled and uses a wheelchair so we decided to look for one of the most accessible spots for the entrance to Las Lomas, a boy offered me the perfect spot so I turned around in our van and then went back to the spot he was saving me, when you get to the place you can realize that you have good services, in the place there is a person who offers you the bathroom service for only $0.30, perhaps sometimes it is expensive to pay this every time you go to use the bathroom but we must also understand as tourists that it is part of keeping the place in good condition, the bathrooms are completely clean and well-kept and if it were not for the payment this would not be achieved, so as tourists we must be prepared to pay for this service.

Por toda la orilla de la carretera en las Lomas encontrarás una gran variedad de mini restaurantes aquí puedes encontrar las famosas cachapas con queso, cachapas con marrano, entre otras comidas, al igual que los ricos JoJotos con mantequilla calientitos.

Al entrar a las Lomas te consigues con un gran aviso el cual te advierte que no puedes pasar con vehículos o será sancionado por la ley, esto es parte del cuidado de este lugar, con respecto al clima en la actualidad hay un poco de sequía y las Lomas no están completamente verdes, pero esto no le quita lo hermoso de sus paisajes, allí hay un recorrido separado por barandas de palos para que puedas disfrutar de los paseos a caballo.

Along the roadside in Las Lomas you will find a great variety of mini restaurants here you can find the famous cachapas con queso, cachapas con marrano, among other foods, as well as the delicious JoJotos with warm butter.

When you enter Las Lomas you will find a large sign which warns you that you cannot pass with vehicles or you will be sanctioned by law, this is part of the care of this place, with respect to the weather at present there is a bit of drought and Las Lomas are not completely green, but this does not take away from the beauty of its landscapes, there is a path separated by wooden railings so you can enjoy horseback riding.

Luego puedes recorrer todo lo que desees de las Lomas, practicar senderismo, y caminar hasta el sitio que encuentres agradable para acostarte sobre la grama y descansar, en el lugar también hay unos pequeños bosques, siempre siento curiosidad de ingresar en estos y explorar un poco, en esta ocasión lo hice junto a mis hijas, caminamos observando la naturaleza, me encantan los árboles llenos de musgo, indicándome que ha pasado la temporada fría, caminamos hasta una parte en la cual bajas por una de las Lomas y luego te consigues otra más pequeña, allí estuvimos un rato disfrutando de la agradable brisa fría, luego nos devolvimos hasta el lugar donde estaba mi hijo y su novia y por supuesto tomando muchas fotografías.

Then you can walk around all you want in the Hills, go hiking, and walk to the place you find nice to lie down on the grass and rest, there are also some small forests in the place, I am always curious to enter these and explore a little, this time I did it with my daughters, we walked observing nature, I love the trees full of moss, indicating to me that the cold season has passed, we walked to a part where you go down one of the Hills and then you find another smaller one, we were there for a while enjoying the nice cold breeze, then we returned to the place where my son and his girlfriend were and of course taking lots of pictures.

Otra de las grandes ventajas que ha adoptado este lugar es que los vendedores te llegan hasta el sitio donde estás relajado descansando y te ofrecen su variedad de comidas y dulces, luego si deseas pedir algo ellos llegan hasta tu sitio nuevamente con el punto de ventas a cobrarte para que no tengas que moverte, esto me parece bastante Accesible y cómodo.

Mientras estaba descansando de la caminata justo cuando casi me quedaba dormida siento como un suave arañazo en mi brazo, al levantar la cabeza me dio mucha risa ya que una perrita sin darme cuenta se había costado a mi lado y con su patita me tocó para que la acariciara, esto me llenó de mucha ternura, en el lugar hay muchísimos perros todos amistosos, pero ninguna como esta, llena de confianza hacia nosotros y con la insistencia de tocarnos con su patita para que no dejáramos de acariciarla

Another of the great advantages that this place has adopted is that the vendors come to the place where you are relaxing and resting and offer you their variety of food and sweets, then if you want to order something they come to your place again with the point of sale to charge you so that you do not have to move, this seems quite accessible and comfortable to me.

While I was resting from the walk just when I was almost falling asleep I felt like a soft scratch on my arm, when I raised my head I laughed a lot because a little dog without realizing it had come to my side and with her little paw touched me so that I would pet her, this filled me with a lot of tenderness, in the place there are many dogs all friendly, but none like this one, full of confidence towards us and with the insistence of touching us with her little paw so that we would not stop petting her

Llegada las 5 de la tarde decidimos recoger todas nuestras cosas e irnos del lugar, tristes porque ya era tarde, pero felices porque pasamos un día muy agradable, por supuesto antes de irnos decidimos comprar unos lindos cactus y suculentas, estas te las venden 2 por 5 $, Las macetas estaban demasiado hermosas, me encantaron, así que decidí llevar 2 para mí y la novia de mi hijo también decidió llevar 2 para ella.

Y así culminó nuestro paseo, disfrutamos de los hermosos paisajes bajando de las Lomas y luego a nuestro hogar, espero te haya gustado este recorrido hacia las Lomas de Cubiro, en mi hermoso estado Lara de mi país Venezuela 🇻🇪, me despido por hoy deseándoles unos días llenos de aventuras y mucho disfruten, de antemano estoy muy agradecida de qué ella es visitado mi Publicación, hasta otra oportunidad ❤️

When it was 5 pm we decided to pack up all our stuff and leave the place, sad because it was already late, but happy because we had a very nice day, of course before leaving we decided to buy some nice cacti and succulents, they sell you 2 for $5, The pots were too beautiful, I loved them, so I decided to take 2 for myself and my son's girlfriend also decided to take 2 for herself.
