What happens when you give yourself a little break?

In my last post I wrote that I had given myself a little break from gardening and writing.
But the grass won't wait.
Our little fairy garden suffered the most, it actually got a little overgrown.
Ten days to two weeks of a little carelessness. Warm weather with enough rain and there it is.

But not everything is so bleak, in addition to the cucumber that has been doing great in our small garden, purslane has also spread. Which will go great with cucumber and tomatoes in salads.

Persimmon tree slowly but steadily growing.I water this much more often than last year's, which dried up.

This Bassia scoparia plant is known in our country as broom or peasant broom. This plant is fantastic because in the late fall, when it has become woody and dry, it becomes the perfect, springy raw material for making those sturdy, traditional brooms for cleaning up yards, leaves, and rougher surfaces. Also, in autumn, the whole plant often changes color and becomes bright red or golden yellow, so people also plant it as an ornament in gardens.We currently have one, if it grows enough it will be enough for one broom.

The large hazelnut and three small hazelnuts are doing well this year. The hazelnut fruit is growing well and is not falling off like last year.

In the greenhouse, cherry tomatoes have taken over almost the entire greenhouse. It's like some kind of invasive creeper, but we like it :). The okra is getting ready to bloom. This is the first time we've grown okra.

The raspberries are ripening. I think I have two types of raspberries here. But a lot of them dried up last year, then the young ones sprouted, so I'm not sure anymore.

We needed a break, a rest, a respite. That's over now and we're moving on with the season.
