Everyone who has read my posts knows that I was on vacation in Sokobanja
Although ours was accompanied by rainy days, there were also sunny days. And we used them to go to the Ripaljka waterfall and the Borici picnic area.
Not far from our accommodation is the Ripaljka waterfall, less than three kilometers away. So we decided to walk to it.

The entire path is marked with signs, so there is no mistake. And the locals are friendly and helpful. So this was a relaxing walk.

As soon as we saw that the path to the waterfall could also go through the forest, we left the macadam road and continued upstream, following a small stream.

Even though we set off with our six-year-old son through the forest, we were all ready for an adventure.

As we headed upstream, there were many smaller waterfalls along the way. We stopped at many places, took pictures and enjoyed nature.

And finally we climbed to the Waterfall itself.
Ripaljka belongs to the group of accumulative waterfalls. It is located at an altitude of 420 meters, and the waterfall itself is 17.5 meters high. During the summer and autumn, the Gradašnica River dries up, so the waterfall disappears. Ripaljka got its name from the word ripnuti, which in this part of Serbia is used for the term “jump”.

And finally, climb the stairs to the very top of the waterfall. In fact, the macadam trail leads there.20250927_113835.jpg

Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.
