Petrovaradin suburb

I went with my family to the Petrovaradin Fortress, Sunday sunny day, but crowded even though it is the weekend.
I found a parking space at the foot of the fortress.
Petrovaradin suburb,old part of Petrovaradin, locally known as Gradić, is an old baroque quarter located in the lower part of the Petrovaradin Fortress.
And as soon as I got out of the car I started painting, from graffiti to the architecture of Gradić.
The first picture shows the clock on the fortress, a kind of lighthouse for ships on the Danube. The large hand shows the hours and the small hand shows the minutes, this was done because of the fog so that it would be easier to see what time it was from the ship.

This is one of the main roads connecting Petrovaradin and Novi Sad.
The streets are narrow and the traffic is heavy, but I still stopped along the way to take pictures of the beautiful buildings.

We sought refuge in a side street and looked for a path or stairs to the top.
But in the side streets that are even narrower than the "main", there is gravel. And parked cars that further clog the already cramped streets.

We come across the Roman Catholic Church of St. George
Which was built in the period 1701-1714
The Croatian Count Josip Jelačić Bužimski was born in the suburb of Petrovaradin.

Next to the church, there is a macadam road to the top of the fortress, there is a staircase somewhere there, but we took the road further.
