May in the garden

It's been eleven days since the last report, how time flies. The work season in the garden is already well underway.
The garden is progressing nicely, rains have been good for the potatoes that have gone wild.
So far no bugs which is good
In the previous report I also took pictures, you will see how much progress everything has made in eleven days.

Although there was a strong spring frost, the pears survived
and they already have small fruits

Something I am very proud of are our roses
By the way, I adore roses
So every year we take special care of them and protect them, especially during the winter when there are cold days and frosts
During the winter we cover them with a large plastic bottle and add a little soil so that the wind doesn't blow them away Or for larger roses we tie them up with a sack filled with hay. When winter passes, they thank us like this

For more pictures of roses, see my post from last year.https://peakd.com/hive-147010/@markone85/roses
New pictures coming soon.
The blackberries are also doing well, the rain has been good for them, the Aronia has formed berries
The strawberries have bloomed
The fig has leafed out,a little late. goji is doing well, currants too.
The sage has bloomed,
So far everything is going well

I'm probably forgetting something, but there's plenty of that.

My wife is proud of the albizia tree, which she planted herself

In this post you will see the newly planted tree
The albizia can barely be seen from the stump
two years ago https://peakd.com/hive-147010/@markone85/an-old-tree-stump
Although I find it hard to admit failure
One of the biggest failures is the walnut tree
The tree was planted four years ago One year my son stepped on it, the next year I cut it down while mowing the lawn
The third year it was hit by a frost so hard that all the leaves turned black
Although when I think about it, maybe it's not a failure because it survived all the hardships and is there
Although it's not bigger than a blade of grass

Until the next report, stay healthy

It's amazing what they can endure - maybe a cage around it will see it more protected?
