Budimlija
We visited the Skakavac waterfall, I wrote about it yesterday, you can check it out in this post Here
But before the walk to the waterfall itself, which lasted about a kilometer and a half.
We stopped along the way to take breaks and take pictures of the surroundings.
The road to the town of Loznica was simple, Highway or regional road.
The waterfall is located on the border of the villages of Budimlija, Trbušnica and Paskovac. Gučevo Mountain.
There is a crossroads next to this monument, so if you're not careful you could make a mistake.
The surroundings are beautiful. Not far from here is the Jadar River.
And I still can't believe that they want to mine lithium here in the area.
Although most people have rebelled against it and so have environmental associations, so the whole project is on hold.
Our government is insistent on implementing the project and building a mine.
But the Jadarite ore from which they need to extract lithium is very complicated and they need to use sulfuric acid, and in incredible quantities.
And many are against it. And I support them too.
Lithium is necessary for our mobile phone and electric car batteries.
But who can guarantee that it will be safe in a densely populated region with beautiful nature.
So let's get back to beautiful nature.
We came across several gardens, in one of which people were growing blackberries.
And they also grow along the roadside like wild blackberries, they are a little more sour than my home ones but certainly tasty.
Also, the area around the waterfall is rich in animal and plant life. I'm not even sure what some species are called.
At the exit from the village of Budimlija, on a small road, we parked the car.
There is no asphalt road to the waterfall any further. And there is also the cross of honor, which in our villages is usually found at the exit or entrance to the village.
And the stream of Budimlija that they managed to tame.
And from here we hiked further to the waterfall
Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.
