Abandoned project on a busy street

I think this is the first post I'm writing here.
It must have been over thirty years since I knew this building was abandoned.
I even have a subconscious feeling that I can remember when this building or hall was first built. I'm not sure what the original plan was. There was a sign saying what was being built, but I can't remember.
That was a period when this country was under sanctions and restrictions.
Not exactly happy times and now they are not much better. In all this turmoil, whether we want to join the European Union or not.

The building is located on a busy road, where my company is located where I work. And I almost regularly pass by it.
But as far as I know, it is in a neglected state. That is, the construction stopped halfway. Lack of finances or some other reason, who knows. Currently, there is a sign that it is for sale and the other sign has faded.

It has been abandoned and unmaintained for so long that trees have begun to grow next to and in the very foundations and are poking out of the first concrete slab.

20260205_093425.jpgSince it is located on one of the main roads in Novi Sad, and it is not fenced. I don't think it ever was. then various passersby use it for everything and anything.
I even found a lot of insulation from electrical cables. Someone probably stripped the cables to get the copper. Since the price of copper is quite high. And the question is how did they get those cables and use this facility to strip the cables.

Will the building find a new owner? Well, we'll see in the future. This part that is not under the upper concrete slab is intended for some kind of hall or sales area.

That would be all for this research. Thanks for reading.
Until next time.

I'm guessing you very sanely stayed on the ground floor where it was safe XD

I'm kinda dumb and would have gone upstairs for a stickybeak if it looked like it would hold my weight

The outside of the building was starting to look impressive. Seems a bit unfortunate that it didn't go anywhere.

I didn't want to try my luck and go upstairs. Although I kept changing my mind. The building is for sale, so it may experience a new fate, I will definitely follow up.
