Took My Skis With Me To Tampere

This house has a coffee shop in it that serves skiers. The current owners are in the process of retiring. Sunday was the last day they kept it open.

I came here for work for a couple of days. Tampere is to the northwest of where I live and there is somewhat less snow there usually and that is the case now as well.

The city of Tampere publishes up-to-date information about the condition of the trails maintained by it:

The information was accurate. The trail from Niihama to Atala was in good condition but partly icy. Completely fine, I'd say.

It also says most of the trails are closed now. Too little snow, I guess.

This building used to be the main building of a farm. The city bought it in the 1960s. I was told someone bought the cafe and it will not be closed permanently. Great!
