Pond + Trains + Tracks + Sleepers + Etc.
I went down to the pond near the railway today afternoon.
It's clearly starting to show that it will soon be the second half of September, which is when autumn begins.
Some birches have a partially yellow foliage.
This old storage building has partially burned but it has been left standing.
A local train
The railway station is about 1 km away. When I was taking these shots, I was accosted by a drunk who was walking past these tracks. His presence proved a short-lived annoyance because I didn't talk to him at all. If you look carefully, you can see a digger lifting sleepers off the railway.
This pile of old sleepers was beside the track. The sleepers were in pretty bad condition apparently. They stank of creosote pretty strongly. It seems that all new sleepers are made of concrete these days. I read somewhere that a type of plastic that is very strong and cheaper to produce than concrete that railway sleepers can be made of has been developed somewhere. But I'm not sure the world needs any more plastic than there already is.
There is something delicious about these colors and textures.
This gentleman who was cycling past gave me a puzzled look as I was shooting these pictures.
That ski jumping tower is visible from everywhere.
I wondered how the train driver was able to operate the train with such complicated tracks. It's mysterious. 😁

I really appreciate the title of this post, informative and straight to the point!
Very prosaic.
