Forest Shots Taken A Week And A Half Ago
I took these on November 3. Little has changed except that the last of the leaves have fallen. There is even less light now than there was then.
There was still something green.
That was quite slippery. But I could hold onto those trees whole descending.
Having those those solar panels installed wasn't nearly as good a deal some years ago as it is now. Our fixed-rate contract with the power company ends in the end of next March. It will be difficult to decide whether to accept a possibly much more expensive a fixed-rate contract or opt for spot price based one. The latter option is potentially cheaper but we'd have to watch carefully when to use the oven and the washing machine or to take a sauna.
Solar panels are of not of any use during the winter months. On the other hand, electricity would be free in the summer.
