In terms of travel, who prefers the river route? I like it very much, the tireless journey seems like a river journey.Today I will not talk about the river journey but about the river. The name of the river is Buriganga.

The Buriganga River is a river in Bangladesh which flows past the southwest outskirts of the capital city, Dhaka. Its average depth is 7.6 metres and its maximum depth is 18 metres. It ranks among the most polluted rivers in the country.

There are two launch terminals on the bank of Buriganga river. Sadarghat and Soarighat. Although the water of the river is not as clean as before, during the rainy season Buriganga is very comfortable to travel. Due to the increase in water, the river water does not have bad smell which makes the journey comfortable.

There are no fish in the river, but there are thousands of boats, which run towards the southern part of the country through Buriganga every day.

Even if you don't go far, small boats can always be found just for this river trip. During the day, when the sun shines on the river, the beauty of the river get double.

This river is always busy, for people who are going home on Eid holidays, going to Zinjira from Dhaka for work or traveling or coming to Dhaka from Zinjira, or people coming for river trips.

There are always many launches near the river, some at the launch terminal to prepare for departure and some at the docks for repairs or refits to enter the river.

I like to travel, but I have a strong desire to see my own country before giving a foreign tour.

Although I have been doing launch journeys since childhood, I know Buriganga very well. And to travel this river, you have to keep two times in mind, one of them is to travel during the rainy season, because the water of this river is relatively clear at this time. The second is river travel from late afternoon to night, boat or launch roof it can be done on anything.

It's over here as of today, I will come soon to express my thoughts & feelings about a new place.
