Reparando mi mueble viejo//Repairing my old furniture.

Hola amigos de #hive y en especial a la comunidad de @home.solutions , como siempre espero que se encuentren bien al igual que sus familiares y amigos. No sé si recordarán que en días atrás les mostré los muebles nuevos que compré y como los acomodé en casa, así que hoy vengo a contarles qué hice con los viejos que tenía, pues la verdad aquí en Cuba la situación no está muy buena que digamos y tenemos que aprovechas las cosas al máximo.

Bueno les cuento que aquí en casa no tengo mucho espacio, pero les busque un lugar que de seguro me van a servir muy bien, el balcón de la casa. Los muebles físicamente no están en un buen estado, pero de eso se trata este post de hoy, de mostrarles como los reparé un poco para poder seguir utilizándolos un poco más de tiempo. Lo primero que hice fue días antes bañarlos en luz brillante e inyectarlos con el mismo producto para que no apareciera más el comején, así que esto con antelación lo preparé y los puse a secar para que estuvieran listos para la reparación que les iba a hacer, reparación que hice yo misma, así que lo que duren lo dejo a valoración de ustedes ja, ja, ja.

Temprano en la mañana le pedí a mi esposo @eduardo900613 que me trajera el serrucho de su papá para hacer el trabajo, ya que yo en casa no cuento con esta herramienta, así que nada más que llegó con él, le puse manos a la obra, en realidad la reparación no llevaba mucha cosa, pues solo estaba afectado el sofá, las butacas están en perfecto estado así que no les haría nada. Y el sofá, el único problema que tenía era en las patas, que estaban cojas, y disparejas, así que no tenía mucho que hacer, ya que solo con cortarlas y emparejarlas quedaría listo.

Lo primero que hice fue medir la distancia que cortaría para eliminar la parte mala, que quedaran parejas las patas y a la vez no quedara cojo el mueble, luego tomé el serrucho y comencé a cortar por las medidas que había tomado, en esta parte Eduardo me ayudó un poco en las partes más duras, ya saben que las mujeres no tenemos suficiente fuerza a veces como un hombre y yo después continúe con las partes más finas y menos trabajosas. Después de picar todas las patas y comprobar que el mueble no estaba cojo, tomé un poco de cola loca para pegar las cintas de guano que decorar el mueble y no se siguieran rompiendo.

Poco a poco pegué todo y más tarde cuando se secó me busqué unos vasos desechables plásticos y les hice a cada pata del mueble una especie de zapato, esto para que el agua no lo afecte tanto y no se pudran de nuevo, para esto recorté él vaso desechables de forma tal que quedara en su justa medida, y después se lo adherí con cola loca y vapor, quedando muy bien en cada pata del mueble y casi no se nota por la transparencia del vaso que le puse, como les dije, esto para que al limpiar o llover el agua nos las afecte tanto.

En medio de toda esta faena Eduardo me preparó una merienda y por supuesto no podía dejar de degustarla, pues trabajo y hambre juntos hacen buena mella ja, ja, ja. Después de terminar con esta tarea quedé muy satisfecha, pues creo que me van a durar mucho más tiempo estos muebles. Los cuales me vendrán muy bien para el portal, pues hace un fresco riquísimo y la verdad no contaba con ningún asiento en este lugar que me permitiera disfrutar de las vistas el aire fresco y los pajaritos.

Ya solo le viene faltando un poco de pintura y unos cojines que quiero hacerles, pero bueno ya estoy será en otra ocasión o como mejor dice el cubano, para cuando llueva de nuevo para las cabezadas ja, ja, ja porque la verdad, por ahora ya me quedé sin plata, ja, ja, ja. I do not know if you remember that a few days ago I showed you the new furniture I bought and how I arranged them at home, so today I come to tell you what I did with the old ones I had, because the truth is that here in Cuba the situation is not very good and we have to take advantage of things to the maximum.

Well I tell you that here at home I don't have much space, but I looked for a place that will surely serve me very well, the balcony of the house. Physically the furniture is not in a good state, but that's what this post is about today, to show you how I repaired them a little to be able to continue using them a little longer. The first thing I did was to bath them days before in bright light and inject them with the same product so that the termites would not appear anymore, so I prepared them in advance and put them to dry so they would be ready for the repair I was going to do, repair I did myself, so how long they last I leave to your assessment ha, ha, ha, ha.

Early in the morning I asked my husband @eduardo900613 to bring me his dad's saw to do the job, since I don't have this tool at home, so as soon as he arrived with it, I got down to work, actually the repair did not take much, because only the sofa was affected, the seats are in perfect condition so I would not do anything to them. And the sofa, the only problem I had was in the legs, which were lame, and uneven, so I did not have much to do, since only with cutting and matching them would be ready.

The first thing I did was to measure the distance I would cut to eliminate the bad part, so that the legs would be even and at the same time the furniture would not be lame, then I took the saw and began to cut by the measures I had taken, in this part Eduardo helped me a little in the hardest parts, you know that women do not have enough strength sometimes as a man and then I continued with the thinner and less laborious parts. After chopping all the legs and checking that the furniture was not lame, I took some crazy glue to glue the guano ribbons to decorate the furniture so they wouldn't keep breaking.

Little by little I glued everything and later when it dried I got some plastic disposable cups and I made a kind of shoe on each leg of the furniture, this so that the water does not affect it so much and do not rot again, for this I cut the disposable cup in such a way that it was in its right size, and then I adhered it with crazy glue and steam, being very well in each leg of the furniture and almost not noticeable by the transparency of the glass that I put, as I said, this so that when cleaning or rain the water does not affect them so much.

In the middle of all this work Eduardo prepared me a snack and of course I could not stop tasting it, because work and hunger together make a good dent ha, ha, ha, ha. After finishing this task I was very satisfied, because I think that this furniture will last me much longer. Which will come in handy for the portal, because it is very cool and the truth is that I did not have any seat in this place that would allow me to enjoy the view, the fresh air and the birds.

The only thing missing is a little paint and some cushions that I want to make, but well, I will do it another time or as the Cuban says, for when it rains again, ha, ha, ha, ha because the truth is, for now I am out of money, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
