PhotoFeed Contest - Wildlife Photography Round #126 : A cute baby [ENG-ESP]

From this side of the globe, specifically from my country Venezuela, the rains have been relentless and incessant since mid-May. Sometimes these storms have been courted and escorted by squalls and storms.

But in spite of the downpours, they have brought us goodness and good things. The climate has improved satisfactorily, reducing the high temperatures of the area where I live, favoring the well-being and degrading the exhaustion generated by the angry temperatures. My plants celebrate and praise with effusiveness, the arrival of new nutrients, expressing themselves with new buds.

Without further ado, let's get to the purpose of this meeting, which is to share my wildlife find with a baby red-footed tortoise owl (as we call it colloquially). I discovered it in my garden, one early morning at the beginning of June, after a night of wild thunder.

Astonishment, interest, and curiosity about its origins and how this little tortoise came to our garden. Between presumptions and conjectures, I remembered that I took care of a few months for a friend some beautiful adult specimens of red legs, male and female.

So “Panchis” (as we have named him) was in our garden for some time, as a gift of love. The report that I make to this date is that the length of its shell measures approximately 4 cm (1.5 inches), perhaps later it will be called “Panchita”, when we will specify with its evolution and development its sex.

Our baby tortoise was friendly and accommodating to the photo session, his small and tiny size, associated to his light weight, makes it easy for him to walk around at his leisure, adopt different positions and gestures, making the experience refreshing and fun.

The photo that preludes this closing, is my entry into the @photofeed contest Wildlife Photography Round #126.

Thanks for your visit.
