For some years now, I have had an exquisite weakness for macrophotography. My starting point for this correlative approach was scientific research, in particular my years dedicated to medical entomology, identifying and classifying insects of interest in collective health, where their correct taxonomic location is cardinal, considering among its determining aspects the external structure, of inestimable value.

Desde hace ya algunos años, siento una exquisita debilidad por la macrofotografía. Mi punto de partida de esta aproximación correlativa, fue la investigación científica, en particular mis años dedicados a la entomología médica, identificando y clasificando insectos de interés en salud colectiva, donde su correcta ubicación taxonómica es cardinal, considerándose entre sus aspectos determinantes la estructura externa, de inestimable valor.

Since the stereoscopic magnifying glass came into my existence, and with it the macro visualizations, I could allow myself to explore new worlds with revealing details, until then unknown and clandestine to my eyes, because of their smallness. This is how I sometimes spend hours cataloging scorpions, spiders, and/or parasitic arthropods.

Desde que la lupa estereoscópica entró en mi existencia, y con ella las macro visualizaciones, pude permitirme explorar nuevos mundos con detalles reveladores, hasta entonces desconocidos y clandestinos a mis ojos, a causa de su pequeñez. Así es, como a veces paso las horas, catalogando escorpiones, arañas y/o artrópodos parásitos.

They say that what you don't know, you don't need; but when you do know it, you want to dig deeper and deeper. The medical sciences were the starting point for macro images. This experience awakened in me an exacerbated curiosity to discover details not visible to the naked eye in the diversity of existing ecosystems, where only macro-photography can give an answer.

Dicen por ahí que lo que no conoces, no lo necesitas; pero cuando lo conoces, quieres profundizar más y más. Las ciencias médicas fueron el punto de partida hacia las imágenes macro. Esta experiencia despertó y avivó en mí una exacerbada curiosidad por descubrir detalles no visibles a simple vista en la diversidad de ecosistemas existentes, donde solo la macrofotografía puede dar respuesta.

With the visualizations in macro representation, my perspective widened considerably, by placing me in a discursive understanding, which leads me to another level, full of details in forms, structures, colors, and nuances, becoming a substantial, assiduous, and incessant contribution to discovery.

Con las visualizaciones en macro representación, mi perspectiva se ensanchó considerablemente, al situarme en una comprensión discursiva, que me conduce a otro nivel, pleno de pormenores en formas, estructuras, colores y matices, transformándose en un aporte sustancioso, asiduo e incesante al descubrir.

For this occasion, I share with you an inquisitive search for macro details in textile fibers, which began with one or two shots and ended with a fun and enriching photographic section. Threads come and go, between the coming and going, intertwining, each one providing sustenance and support to the structure of the weave, constituting together the weave of details.

Para esta ocasión, comparto una inquisidora búsqueda de macro detalles en fibras textiles, lo que comenzó con una o dos tomas, finalizó con una divertida y enriquecedora sección fotográfica. Hilos van y vienen, entre el ir y venir, entrelazándose, cada uno aportando sustento y soporte a la estructura del tejido, constituyendo juntos el entramado de los detalles.
