I love nature and with it its goodness. I love flowers and medicinal plants. I inherited that from my ancestors. My grandmother and grandfather were dedicated to cultivate the land and they benefited because they obtained food products from it. So also my mother and I grew up seeing all this teaching that they gave me. A few days ago I went to visit my mother and spent a week at her house and I had a lot of fun taking pictures of some flowers and plants. My mother is also a flower lover and she and her younger sister make sure that the plants and flowers don't get lice. They take a unique care in how they water them. When we need to take some leaves from a plant for some ailment we must take the leaves in the morning hours and in the afternoon when the sun goes down. Because my mother says that the plant dries out.

This beautiful flower is called a thousand orchids. My mother and I take care of it so that it always has its flowers in good condition. We look for information in nurseries to keep them beautiful.

There are weeks that I accompany my mom to clean the garden, I love it and we spend part of the morning and afternoon in this task. My mother takes care of and teaches me how to take care of her garden. I have learned many things about gardening and especially how to take care of the plants. She has a type of lily as I show in the picture which is very attractive.

Among the flowering plants in my mother's house is the white cayenne, a very pretty flower. The white bell plant.

Among the medicinal plants she has in her garden, I wanted to write about these three medicinal plants: oregano, linden and lemon balm.

Oregano: This plant's scientific name is Origanum vulgare. In my country Venezuela in the city where I live Cumana is given a lot of this plant and has many properties, such as: excellent soothing cough, expectorant, diuretic, analgesic, used in respiratory ailments. Powerful antiseptic and excellent for digestive problems such as gas, poor digestion, stomach aches, etc..

Linden: Its scientific name is Tilia platyphyllos. Among its medicinal properties we use it for colds, colds, fever, general malaise, anxiety, calms nervous states. It helps us to have a restful sleep. When at home there is flu with cold we make linden tea and drink it slowly at warm temperature. If we can not fall asleep we prepare infusions of this plant and half an hour before going to sleep we take it.

Lemon balm: Its scientific name is Melissa officinalis. Among its medicinal properties we can find: excellent for digestive disorders, as an antipyretic, i.e. lowers fever, to reduce anxiety and stress.
