I was walking through one of the most famous squares in Bogotá, called Plaza de Lourdes, because that's where the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes is located. and it is located quite centrally, to be more specific, in the Chapinero Central area, a place full of commerce and quite busy, where I noticed that there was a work of art on display in the middle of the square that was totally out of the ordinary. Well, it's art, art doesn't have to be ordinary, quite the contrary.

This work, displayed in the middle of everything, held in place by a crane to keep it in position and on display, has apparently been there for a few weeks, and many people feel that it was a good idea to place this work of art there. It is called Arrancada de Raíz (Uprooted) or Casa Flotante (Floating House), representing the dream of Bogotanos to own their own home and how far away that dream is from becoming a reality for many of them, who have been working very hard for years but still find that dream far from reality, at least in the city.

A nice walk and a good reflection, which leads us to wonder if we are really in the right place or what we need to do to get there.

Arte!!

Estaba caminado por una de las plazas mas conocidas de la ciudad de Bogotá, llamada plaza de Lourdes, porque ahí se encuentra la catedral de la virgen de Lourdes, y esta situada bastante céntrica para ser mas especifica, en la zona de chapinero central, un lugar full comercio y bastante concurrido, en donde me percate de que había una obra de arte expuesta en medio de la plaza y que esta totalmente fuera de lo común, bueno es arte, el arte no tiene que ser común, todo lo contrario.

Esta obra expuesta en medio de todo, cargada con un grúa que se encargo de mantenerla en su puesto y en exposición, aparentemente lleva algunas semanas ahí, y muchas personas sienten que ha sido buena idea colocar esta obra de arte ahí que lleva el nombre de arrancada de raíz o casa flotante, que representa el sueño de los Bogotanos de tener una casa propia y lo lejano que esta de hacerse realidad para muchos de ellos, que por años han estado trabajando muy duro pero aun así este sueño esta lejos de hacerse realidad al menos en la ciudad.

Lindo paseíto y buena reflexión, que nos lleva a pensar si realmente estamos en el lugar correcto o que tenemos que hacer para lograrlo.
