My sister-in-law's birthday celebration 🎉💟

¡Feliz domingo para todos! Espero que hayan pasado un grandioso fin de semana, por mi parte lo fue y es precisamente de eso de lo que les vengo a hablar hoy, pues resulta que este viernes 21 estuvo de cumpleaños mi cuñada, ella no tenía pensado festejar pero su pareja le organizo una pequeña reunión en familia a la cual fuimos invitados y por supuesto asistimos sin falta, ella no se esperaba nada de eso y mucho menos que nosotros llegáramos a su casa, así que todo fue una sorpresa para ella.

I hope you have had a great weekend, for my part it was and that is precisely what I am here to talk about today, as it turns out that my sister-in-law had a birthday this Friday the 21st, she had not planned to celebrate but her partner organized a small family reunion for her to which we were invited and of course we attended without fail, she did not expect any of that, much less that we would arrive at her house, so everything was a surprise for her.

Desde muy temprano nos alistamos para esperar a que pasaran por nosotros ya que ella vive en otra ciudad y aprovechamos de irnos con su otro cuñado que vive por acá y también iba hasta allá, al llegar le dimos la sorpresa y hasta un regalo le llevamos que le gustó mucho, a partir de allí se comenzó a festejar, hicimos un brindis y comimos algunos pasapalos para compartir y pasar el rato mientras que los hombres de la casa preparaban todo para hacer una parrilla para el almuerzo.

We got ready very early to wait for them to pick us up since she lives in another city and we took advantage of going with her other brother-in-law who lives here and also went there, when we arrived we gave her a surprise and even brought her a gift that she liked very much, from there they began to celebrate, we made a toast and ate some snacks to share and hang out while the men of the house prepared everything to make a grill for lunch.

Por mala suerte se fue la luz y había mucho calor durante la tarde pero eso no duró ni una hora ni tampoco impidió que se llevara a cabo la celebración. Mientras se hacia la parrilla yo aproveche de colaborar un poco preparando la ensalada y luego comencé a decorar para darle un toque más festivo al ambiente y tener un espacio para las fotos, para esto tuve la ayuda de todos que inflaron los globos mientras yo iba armando las flores con ellos para ir colocándolas en la pared. Al principio estuve algo incómoda ya que nunca había tratado mucho con estas personas, únicamente con mi cuñada y su pareja así que estar en una casa llena de personas poco conocidas me daba algo de pena pero fue tan bueno el trato de todos que me hicieron sentir cómoda y perder la pena en poco tiempo.

Unfortunately, the power went out and it was very hot during the afternoon, but that did not last an hour nor did it prevent the celebration from taking place. While the grill was being prepared, I took advantage of collaborating a bit by preparing the salad and then I began to decorate to give the atmosphere a more festive touch and have a space for photos, for this I had the help of everyone who inflated the balloons while I was assembling the flowers with them to place them on the wall. At first I was somewhat uncomfortable since I had never dealt much with these people, only with my sister-in-law and her partner, so being in a house full of little-known people made me feel a bit sad, but everyone treated me so well that they made me feel comfortable and I lost my senses in a short time.

Como mi cuñada no puede hacer muchas cosas por el embarazo se pasó casi todo el día sentada y yo aproveché de pasar tiempo con ella conversando para ponernos al día, ya que tenía casi un mes sin verla, hasta nos tomamos algunas fotos e incluso Daniel se unió a la conversación. La familia de su pareja estaba celebrando por todo lo alto y yo aunque no consumo alcohol hasta a mí me tocó hacerlo por tanta insistencia de parte de ellos, así que me tomé unos tragos de un vaso que me duró todo el día porque realmente no me gusta pero esta vez la ocasión lo ameritaba pero por mi estaba bien tomando solo refresco hasta que se dieron cuenta de mi jajajaja, pero no fue tan malo.

As my sister-in-law can't do many things due to her pregnancy, she spent most of the day sitting down and I took advantage of spending time with her talking to catch up, since I hadn't seen her for almost a month, we even took some photos and even Daniel joined the conversation. His partner's family was celebrating in style and even though I don't drink alcohol, I even had to do it because of their insistence, so I had a few drinks from a glass that lasted me all day because I really don't like it but this time the occasion warranted it but I was fine with just soda until they noticed me hahahaha, but it wasn't so bad.

Almorzamos una rica parrilla y cenamos un delicioso pasticho de plátano, el cual es la primera vez que pruebo y me encantó. Creo que lo mejor de la celebración es que hubo un buen ambiente, muy festivo y alegre, todos bailaron mucho, rieron y hasta cantaron, yo terminé con dolor en los cachetes de tanto reírme, no recuerdo haberme reído tanto en mi vida como en ese día y eso hizo que la experiencia fuera aún mejor. Allí todo el mundo bailó, pero nadie como la cuñada de mi cuñada, super extrovertida y alegre fue la que mantuvo las risas durante todo el día, bailando y cantando con todo el mundo, me gustó mucho su personalidad, gracias a ella me sentí más cómoda durante toda la reunión.

We had a delicious grill for lunch and a delicious plantain pasticho for dinner, which is the first time I've tried it and I loved it. I think the best thing about the celebration is that there was a good atmosphere, very festive and happy, everyone danced a lot, laughed and even sang, I ended up with sore cheeks from laughing so much, I don't remember having laughed as much in my life as on that day and that made the experience even better. Everyone danced there, but no one like my sister-in-law's sister-in-law, super extroverted and cheerful, she was the one who kept us laughing throughout the day, dancing and singing with everyone, I really liked her personality, thanks to her I felt more comfortable throughout the meeting.

Hubo tiempo hasta para las fotos y en ellas nos incluyeron a Daniel y mi como unos miembros más de su familia, se sintió muy bien encajar allí con todos ellos aun sin ser familiares, apenas unos conocidos con un solo familiar en común que es mi cuñada, pero les ha gustado tanto compartir con nosotros que ya nos invitaron al próximo cumpleaños la siguiente semana, al cual de verdad espero poder ir y repetir la experiencia. Ya en la noche nos reunimos a cantar cumpleaños para luego disfrutar de una deliciosa torta de chocolate con fresas y un rico quesillo, hace mucho que no comía este último y ese estaba delicioso, ya luego de eso siguieron celebrando pero yo estaba muy cansada así que me fui con mi cuñada a recostarnos y a hablar, esa noche nos tocó quedarnos durmiendo allí y al otro día en la mañana ya estábamos de regreso en casa. Todo estuvo muy bien, hace mucho que no disfrutaba tanto de un cumpleaños ni compartía con otras personas que no fueran la familia o amigos, incluso creo que hasta la pasé igual de bien o mejor que la cumpleañera, como sea espero que se repita.

There was even time for the photos and in them they included Daniel and me as some more members of their family, it felt very good to fit in with all of them even without being related, just a few acquaintances with only one family member in common who is my sister-in-law, but they have enjoyed sharing with us so much that they already invited us to the next birthday party the following week, which I really hope to be able to go and repeat the experience. At night we got together to sing birthdays and then we enjoyed a delicious chocolate cake with strawberries and a delicious quesillo, it had been a long time since I had this last one and that one was delicious, and after that they continued celebrating but I was very tired so I went with my sister-in-law to lie down and talk, that night we had to sleep there and the next morning we were back home. Everything was very good, it has been a long time since I enjoyed a birthday so much or shared it with other people who were not family or friends, I even think that I even had the same or better time than the birthday girl, I hope it happens again.
