Dia de Fe | Day of Faith (ESP-ENG)
Hi Hivers, how are you? I hope you had a great weekend, I had a long time that I had not done a post a little longer, so I took advantage that this week was very busy to inspire me at this time, I tell you that the month of August is very busy in the state of Táchira especially in the religious part, because in this month two important dates are carried out, as is the day of the Holy Christ of La Grita and the day of the Virgin of Consolation.
Every August 15, thousands of parishioners walk through the streets of San Cristobal and the rest of the municipalities in order to reach the municipality of Cardenas, specifically to the Basilica Church of Our Lady of Consolation, to venerate the Virgin with faith and devotion. This year we left home early with my parents, my aunt and my cousin, the sea of people that overflowed along the route that day was inexplicable.
On the way we found several points of hydration and civil protection, I found it more organized, different private companies were present, helping the parishioners offered water and fruit, you could see the charisma and happiness of these people to provide such assistance, also, there was a stall of a bakery where they gave us the familiar buñuelitos, they were hot and can not take good pictures but they were super rich. At about 8 o'clock we were at the basilica, we entered and as a family we thanked for all the good things we have had throughout this time for our health and above all for keeping us together.
When we left we decided to have breakfast at a very popular place that I have told you about in a previous post, the pastelitos del Huerto, the place was very full, we bought five rice cakes with meat, two sandwiches with cheese and three chicken cakes with two malts, It took them a long time to serve us since the pastries were not out but the wait was worth it, they were too good as always so I recommend if you come to Tariba you can not miss the opportunity to go and try them and finally we decided to go home after spending a very nice morning.
