🇫🇷 Je me lance avec cette série "STOP" dans le récit de quelques escales. Je ne vais pas les faire dans l'ordre chronologique, juste par envie des histoires pour dépoussiérer quelques vieux souvenirs.

Il y a parfois des escales qui se font en improvisant. L'endroit vous est inconnu, vous n'avez fait aucune recherche sur le lieu, le matin même vous avez tout juste repéré l'endroit pour une pause éventuelle, et puis au final c'est l'un de vos plus beau souvenir du séjour ! Cela a été le cas pour nous aux îles Mal Di Ventri. Nous sommes ici en Sardaigne.
🇬🇧 I’m embarking with this serie "STOP" in stories of a few stopovers. I won’t do them in order, just out of desire and to dust off some old memories.

There are sometimes stopovers that are done by improvisation. The place is unknown to you, you haven’t done any research on the place, in the morning you just spotted the place for a possible break, and then in the end it’s one of your most beautiful memories of the stay! This was the case for us in the Mal Di Ventri islands. We are here in Sardinia.

🇫🇷 Après une escale à Alghero et un mouillage à Capo Marargiu, nous remettons les voiles, ou plutôt les moteurs et continuons notre visite de La Sardaigne en capant vers le sud. Le cabotage est court, nous essayons de trouver un mouillage tous les 20-25 milles afin d'avoir des journées légères. C'est à cette distance de notre départ que les île Mal Di Ventri font leur apparition sur nos cartes marines. A première vue, ce n'est pas là un mouillage bien sécurisé. D'une part, rien ne le protège d'un éventuel coup de vent et d'autre part la traduction de ce nom ne signifie pas "Mal de ventre" comme nous le pensions, mais "mauvais vent", nom certainement donné par les mésaventures de ceux qui s'y sont aventurés sans trop de précautions ! Nous nous approchons donc des îles et posons nos ancres dans quelques mètres d'eau.
🇬🇧 After a stopover in Alghero and anchorage at Capo Marargiu, we set sail again, or rather the engines and continue our visit to Sardinia by heading south. The cabotage is short, we try to find a mooring every 20-25 miles in order to have light days. It is at this distance from our departure that the Mal Di Ventri islands appear on our nautical charts. At first glance, this is not a well-secured anchorage. On the one hand, nothing protects it from a possible gale and on the other hand the translation of this name does not mean 'Mal de ventre' as we thought, but 'bad wind', a name certainly given by the misadventures of those who ventured into it without too much precautions! We therefore approach the islands and place our anchors in a few meters of water.

🇫🇷 A notre arrivée, nous sommes seuls ou presque. Nous voyageons de conserve à deux voiliers, et nos bateaux se retrouvent ici dans une eau translucide qui nous invite rapidement à une baignade et à profiter des mini plages bordant les îlots. A ce niveau de la description, pas besoin de trop détailler, un simple regard sur les photographies jointes à cet article vous fera rapidement comprendre dans quel paradis nous nous trouvions ici ! Bon, rapidement quand même ! Une eau translucide, des mini-plages isolées placées entre des mottes de posidonie séchée, des blocs de roches entrecoupant cette carte postale, des reflets superbes, une météo impeccable, bref, mieux n'est pas possible!

We travel by two sailboats, and our boats end up here in translucent water that quickly invites us to a swim and enjoy the mini beaches bordering the islands. At this level of the description, no need to go into too much detail, a simple look at the photographs attached to this article will quickly make you understand in which paradise we were here! A clear water, isolated mini-beaches placed between clods of dried posidonia, blocks of rocks intersecting this postcard, superb reflections, impeccable weather, in short, better is not possible!

🇫🇷 Nous profitons de l'île sans rien connaitre de son histoire. C'est wikipedia qui m'apprendre plus tard que l'île a connu une période romaine et qu'il y reste des vestiges de termes. Qu'un Britanique était propriétaire de l'île jusqu'en 2014 et l'a vendue par la suite à on ne sait qui... Et enfin qu'un groupe de sécessionnistes a créé ici une micronation en 2008. Non, nous ne savons rien de cela et nous nous contentons de marcher tranquillement le cerveau vide d'informations en profitant seulement des couleurs, du silence et d'un bon saucisson sur la plage. Un peu de vin il me semble aussi... Ma mémoire me joue des tours mais je pense ne pas prendre beaucoup de risques en affirmant qu'il y avait aussi du vin ! Je n'en dirai pas davantage sur cette escale que nous avons contempler sans essayer de la comprendre. Ca fait parfois du bien !

That a Briton owned the island until 2014 and subsequently sold it to no one knows who... And finally that a group of secessionists created here a micronation in 2008. No, we know nothing about that and we just walk around with our brains empty of information quietly enjoying only colors, silence, and a good sausage on the beach. A little wine it seems to me too... My memory is playing tricks on me but I think I’m not taking much risk by saying that there was also wine! I will not say more about this stopover that we contemplated without trying to understand it. It sometimes feels good!

Incroyable l'histoire, effectivement on ne savait rien de tout ça. Un bon souvenir ce pique nique sur la plage, avec ou sans vin je ne sais plus non plus.
