Sa viande sert plus d'appât pour d'autres pêches qu'à nous nourrir. La vraie réponse est pour le COLLAGENE. Cette substance extraite du cartilage et des branchies des raies Manta ou encore des requins et qui finit dans nos produits de maquillage, nos rouge à lèvres, de nombreux produits pharmaceutiques, nos dentifrices, et parfois même dans nos aliments pour les rendre onctueux. Bref, de partout où "l'onctuosité" peut permettre de vendre plus et plus facilement il y a souvent du collagène. Il y a donc peut-être chez vous dans la salle de bain, sur une étagère, un peu de raie Manta ou de requins dispersé dans un produit en tube. Pour information, une raie Manta rapporte quelques petits milliers de dollars à un pêcheur qui la revend, elle rapporte un million de dollars dans sa vie si elle est utilisée pour l'activité touristique. Je ne dis pas que c'est bien de lui jeter 50 touristes sur le visage tous les jours, mais au moins elle peut vivre et se reproduire. |
